I know that this post may ruffle some feathers but I have never been one to shy away from serious issues. Unless you’ve been living under a rock there is a huge controversial situation that is taking place Colin Kaepernick has started to protest our national anthem. Now let’s think about this how long we have all stood and placed our hands over our hearts. Yeah that right Colin you too stood up. You have never been Pro Black. Why now Kaep? What is your true motive? You got me looking at you like:
Sorry Colin something doesn’t sit right with me about this situation and that’s my take on the matter. Simply put I’m not buying what you are selling.
Let’s talk about the Star-Spangled Banner number one it is a part of our American history just like the Statue of Liberty. The lyrics were written by Francis Scott Key on 1814 for the war that took place in 1812, it did not become our national anthem until over a 100 years later, it was put to music in 1931, it was actually for union troops, President Woodrow Wilson made it our national anthem for all military ceremonies. After alllllll these numbers of years Colin is now caring about the lyrics? Colin is biracial too what’s really the problem? How old is Colin? How long has Colin been a quarterback? How many people have been singing our national anthem I loved when Whitney Houston did it. There’s four parts to this song. I just feel like when people get into their feelings they just want to start more crap between the races that’s alllllllllllllllllready there. Racism can’t die because many people won’t let it. My mother came up in a time when she had to drink from a separate water fountain but she never raised me to be separate from other races of people.
I just want to know why he is doing this now after how many years? I feel that there’s more to this situation with Colin that meets the eye. If he sits down today on 9-11 when so much took place on that day it will say a lot about him. When as Americans will we care more about others besides just ourselves? When will people think about the consequences of their actions? I know that the white people several hundred years ago did many bad things to many people they were misinformed people. These are the same people who drilled holes into the mentality ill people’s skulls to let the spirits out. They burned women accusing them of being witches. I could go on and on. My question is after all these years who won’t let racism die? Who keeps racism going and going like the Energizer Bunny? All I am saying Colin is stirring up crap and he’s going to have to lick the spoon. I hope he’s ready to keep up with what his true agenda is.
Regardless of what we think took place on 9-11-01 or why, here is one huge fact many innocent people died that day based on that fact alone we should Never Forget. 9-11-01 has changed our lives forever.
I vividly remember that day I was pregnant with my oldest son and I was watching TV. The show that I was watching had the twin towers in it’s background. I saw the first plane hit the one of the towers chaos just broke out of everywhere. Watching people jumping to their deaths it was gut-wrenching. What person with any ounce of humanity wouldn’t feel anything for the people who died and loss family? I’m pray for our country daily because it’s definitely needed. We need to get back to being one nation under God. Let Him Back Into Our Country. We Need God!
Summer is officially winding down. Today is Labor Day and children go to school tomorrow. So we get to have one last huge summer cookout. Yes! Yes! Yes! Y’all!!! Interracial relationships and marriages are on the rise! Indeed love has no color! People are now widening their options which is a awesome thing. A recent studies shows a huge increase between black and white people since the 1980’s. What’s up with the change? Love is a wonderful thing truly. The internet is definitely making the world smaller and it helps people to broaden their horizons. There has been so many myths and bias pertaining to people of other races the internet shows different. People are using their voices and telling their own stories. Yaaaaaaay to interracial love!! I once had a person tell me that I am very optimistic that was a awesome compliment. While I am very optimistic person it’s not all of my doing but God’s navigation. My relationship with Christ is everything. How we think controls the direction we go. Everyone has experienced a bad day before and it begins with one bad situation. We have all been guilty of saying I know that it’s going to be a bad day based off of a bad start. Remember the book that we read growing up called Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, published in 1972, it was an ALA Notable Children’s Book written by Judith Viorst. Alexander keep saying I knew it was going to be a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day we can literally speak things in to our lives soooooo let’s choose to speak life. Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
I know that we all have experienced some bad things but you know what those things are over. And we definitely show never look around at what other people have or are an compare. We should always look at another people’s lives as an inspiration and that’s all. In life at times we are up and we are down but the world keeps spinning. Situations doesn’t control who we are in Christ. God has an amazing life for us all and it consists of different kinds of days. So let’s live our lives with the mindset of making everyday our best day.
Maannnnn college has me so busy there are so many things that I want to write about a lot has taken place I will be catching up on allllllll of that soon. I’ve shared quite a bit of my thoughts on my blog besides God and my children there’s nothing more important to me than loyalty. The state of the world at times is incredibly sad I mean important things mean so little. It cost nothing to be loyal to be true but at a flip of a switch people’s loyalty change real quick. If you want to see how loyal a person is suddenly become of no use anymore or get into a bind. Example I am a huge Dallas Cowboys fan our quarterback became injured in the beginning there was so many people rooting for Dallas there were so many profile pictures with Dallas’s logo. Now after Tony Romo’s injury people deserted Dallas tumbleweeds are blowing all across Facebook. I’m so waiting for Billy the Kid and Jesse James to come galloping through to the tune of the song Tumbling Tumbleweeds. It’s a real shame the extent of some people’s loyalty so comical. While it’s said that no man is an island it’s definitely a blessing to have God He’s loyalty and loves never runs out or fail. Maybe some people have a lack of loyalty because they don’t know the meaning. Anyway I am loyal to my Dallas Cowboys always that will never change.
Growing up math and science were my favorite subjects. Though the two are different math is used in science like Chemistry. I’m super excited about my upcoming class it’s Biology Nutritional science!!! I so can not wait to begin I love how God already put me in the mindset about clean eating. Eating clean keeps us healthy a huge part of staying on track is what we eat like 70% the other percentage is exercising. I love walking and working out!!! Being at a healthy isn’t just about looking good but feeling good and living longer. Let’s be honest there aren’t many people who are obese living well up into their 60s, 70s and 80s. It’s all about honesty being over 200 pounds in not good. Our culture definitely has a lot to do with the way that we eat. But God is the guide in my life and yes I want Him in control of how much that I eat. Years ago I was an emotional eater whenever I got stressed I would eat it’s not good at all. Overeating is a very slippery slope that’s hard to walk back up on but it is possible. I want to live for a very long time. It’s important for me to watch my sons get older. It’s a beautiful thing seeing families with multiple generations. So ready for more additional steps on this amazing journey!
