God made me

I’m heroic yet humble

Not being boastful

As long as God knows

That’s all that matters

He made me to be awesome

I’m aware of my strength

And weakness too

Never am I ashamed

To admit to the truth

My spirit is beautiful

I stand by the people

Who I care about

Love ones as well

I love everyone

My passion everyday gets bolder

Standing tall like a British soldier

Even though I am human

The Right Fit

I was watching Forensic Files and there was a case that was solved by a person’s footprint. That’s right our footprint is just like our hand prints and finger prints, they are unique. Even our shoe prints are unique too because of our weight, the way we walk, height etc. It’s funny how just by watching a television show can make me think about God every time.

It got me to thinking about shoes. LMBO!! Now I know what you are thinking what the heck is Tameeka talking about now? Well I will tell you remember growing up when we would get a new pair of shoes and our parents would tell us that we would have to break our shoes in? New shoes always feel a little bit uncomfortable in the beginning we also have to remember that our old shoes were once new but we outgrew them. I thought of the same analogy with our walk with Christ sometimes when He places us into something new it’s just our fit we just have to break it in we will eventually. God knows what He is doing and the outcome always turns out right even if things feel a little bit tight at first.

Isaiah 55:8-9

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

So be encouraged and inspired no matter how things look like or feel. The best is yet to come. We walk by faith and not by sight. God is an awesome God.

What’s Tameeka Listening To?

I have a favorite thing that I do on my blog it’s called What’s Tameeka listening to? I share music that people may or may not know. I am a music lover but I am really not a huge fan of the mainstream music especially now a days. The music that I listen to is pretty much everything but they are mostly old schooled. Anyways people are making huge waves about Solange new album it’s like everywhere that I turn people are talking about it. Solange new album is called A Seat at the Table. The first song off of her album is called Don’t touch my hair. The way people are going on about it I even asked some of my family members if they liked the song. There are people who I follow on YouTube that love the album. They say that they exercise to it. I’m like okay. I will be honest I gave it a listen and maybe I’m missing something here. Maybe her music needs to grow on me but 9 times out of 10 I won’t like it in the future neither. I’m not sure what the big deal is. And Yeah I said it I’m not caring that it’s Solange okay!!

Black Men What’s Up With You?

I have joined a movement to unfollow, unsubscribe and ignore all negative posts about black women. What is going on in the black community is an issue and if you have a problem with me writing about it then don’t read what I write.

There are some good black men and there are some bad ones. Believe it or not the bad ones aren’t always the ones who make memes and videos. Some of the bad ones don’t believe in black women they down their intelligence, their talents any gifts anything that is negative is part of the problem in the black community. The way that some black men treat black women affects the community. While some claim that the the negative ones are a minority their negativity is what’s heard majority of the time. The disrespect has caused an domino effect it’s time to end it.

The black community it my community too. We have to do better.Who is to blame for what’s going on in the black community? I see a lot of finger pointing and no one owning up to their mistakes. Some of the black men blame the black women for how they treat them. The disrespect is poison that here the community in every way. There are so many broken homes that it’s disturbing. Lots of mothers who aren’t wives and no it’s not right. Lots of father who aren’t in their children’s lives and the sad things they think that it’s alright. Everything starts at home that’s where dysfunction begin children who grow up into messed up adults we have to break the chain. Someone has to care. This movement will be successful.
