Don’t Wait Too Long

I could be wrong but I don’t think so. I feel that there is a lesson in every step that we make in our lives. As I have shared I have started back to college this is my third week. The first week was a little rough because my application and everything else was approved the same day that I started. The second week I made a plan on how to minimize distractions and making a schedule of when to work on my school work. Let me tell you when you plan on doing something it seems like everything under the sun comes at you it’s like a defensive line coming at a quarterback to strip the football. It requires being focused and moving around in the pocket to get things done like Tony Romo. This week which is the third week I had my mind made up that I was going to complete one of my assignment last night. Now I had three days to do the first one but I waited until the third day like four hours prior to it being do. I know. I know. Bad, Bad, Bad, Bad, Bad me! Anyway my assignment was to read a speech called Ain’t I a Woman? and then watch the interpretation of the speech by Ms Cicely Tyson I basically had to explain which did I enjoy more than the other and why. I also had to explain how important is it to have a visual of something. For me I don’t really need a picture to understand what a writer is trying to say. I’m old schooled so I rely quite a bit on my very own imagination it’s good to keep my brain juices flowing it gets great exercise creating something on it’s own. In a world that takes pictures of everything every five seconds it helps to have a brain like mine. Take music for instance if it’s by a great artist it can make you picture and feel what the artist is feeling make one create even a mini movie in the mind. Anyway I had everything perfect my ideas, grammar, spelling, etc etc I think that I may have kissed the paper. I typed everything in perfectly went to send it and it would Not send with a half and hour to send it in!!!! Oh my goodness it took me five minutes to get into contact with technical support and ten minutes to work on the problem. Whew!!! Lesson learned I will not wait too long ever again.

So I came across a video on YouTube yesterday and the person was questioning the Bible as well as Christianity. One thing that is always puzzling to me is why are there so many people who feel like they must question the Bible and Christianity. I mean they are nonbelievers so why care so much about our Christian beliefs. Anyway he spoke of having physical evidence that supports the Bible. Look having evidence are my personal testimonies that can not be explained away. Most Christians have testimonies which is evidence even though we don’t need it because we love God that much. Why else is there such a huge Christian following? Millions of people can’t be wrong. America was founded on Christian beliefs. People swear on the Bible in court need I go on?

This is what I have figured out about nonbelievers they just want to do what they want and don’t want to change for the better. Being good, doing good, being smart, being good looking or being rich won’t get you into Heaven. The internet is an excellent tool but it can make people think that they know everything. Newsflash everything on the internet can not be taken at face value. Sometimes being so smart can actually cloud your mind and make one closed minded. Listen faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. We can’t see air but we are breathing right. In fact air is the most important thing that we all need in order to live yet we can not see. Hmmmmmm imagine that. I have a problem with people who have to see everything in order to believe it. Having more faith in a chair that it will hold them or more faith in stranger that prepares their food in a restaurant. How weird is that? I don’t push my beliefs on others but I won’t lie I get really offensive when people try to come against what I believe.

Hebrews11-1

Look I have faith in God and I’m a proud Christian if you don’t would to believe fine. But please stop trying to dismiss something that you don’t believe in the first place. A nonbeliever cannot shake my Christian beliefs or make me doubt when God has done so much for me. A human don’t have authority over my faith I don’t care how smart they think that they are it wouldn’t happen. People think that they are so smart that they lose respect for others which only shows you their morals which are very little which says a lot about them as a person. Making yourself feel like your superior based on things from the internet or wherever you got your information from. There is absolutely nothing  that no one can tell you that  will convince you no matter what is shown or what is told to you. Okay you don’t believe in Christianity I can’t say that I get it but I can ask why does a nonbeliever have so much interest in something that they don’t believe in? Something about Christianity peaks your interest so much that some of you make it your mission to dismiss it. Why? Think about it.

As Bizzle says in his song called Against You it’s so true what he says in his lyrics.

A Christian Man Is That You?

First off a Christian man should look nothing like a man of the world. He is destined to be the head of his family and thus behave that way before it happening. I know some are saying, “Hold up, Tameeka what exactly do you mean?” Well, I am going to explain what I mean a true man of God can do many things yet understands that he should Not do them all.

He has self-control is a counselor, prayer warrior, and encourager. He always wants to be the man that God has called him to be. He is aware that there are young men who are watching him. He doesn’t take his walk with Christ lightly and is mindful that he may be the only Bible that some people reads. He doesn’t makeup excuses for what he does or hides behind grace as a way to get away with things. He takes a tally of what he is doing and matches it to what God wants. He’s continuously evaluating himself he desires to be the best man of God that he possibly can be. He treats people like how he would like to be treated.

People will flock to him for advice, prayer, encouragement, and inspiration. He never takes advantage of people, especially women. He lets a woman know where she stands the word games is not a part of his vocabulary. When he sees a marriage that’s in trouble, he sees it as an opportunity to pray for the couple and doesn’t try to prey on the wife. He has boundaries in place so that there are no misunderstandings. He never wants a fellow brother to feel any hurt caused by him. He knows when he can help and when it’s God’s job. He is very responsible never plays fast and loose he doesn’t use a woman. He doesn’t put anyone down but lifts them. A man of the world and a man of God only has one thing in common when it comes to women. They both realize at the time of meeting a woman whether she has the potential of being his wife. In a Man of God relationship, he doesn’t go tic for tac he knows that a real man doesn’t behave like that. He gives his all in his relationship. He has left no backdoors open with any other woman he knows that he is better than that. A man of God understands that the right matches don’t have to be tested he trust that God is in it. If for some reason a relationship doesn’t work out, and he finds that the woman isn’t the right fit he lets her go so that she can find the right man of God to commit to. He doesn’t walk around angry with grudges or a heart of revenge he thanks God for every life lesson. His mission with God’s help is to leave a lasting impression of positivity on every person that he meets.

This is not bashing it’s giving a lot of  Men of God credit I know many this is a checklist. Are you all of these things, or is it merely a bucket list. A man of God is held with the highest regards if you can’t uphold it then lose the Christian label. The word  Christian should not be treat as a bumper sticker but more like a tattoo. Be an ambassador for Christ as a man; make sure that you do it right. How can a Christian man be a leader when he can’t get minor things together? If it’s too much of responsibility  back away until you are ready. One can not have one foot in the world and the other with Christ. Understand that things aren’t all about you and that your actions can effect someone else’s life. Walk right.

Ezekiel 22:30

I searched for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land so that I would not destroy it; but I found no one.

2 Samuel 10:17

Be strong, and let us show ourselves courageous for the sake of our people and the cities of our God; and may the LORD do what is good in His sight.

Grrrrrrrrrrr

Nothing grinds my gears more than a person’s love for money. Money this money that. See when a person is like that one can never have enough of it. Take the money away and what are you left with. The value of our American dollar is losing it’s value. I just pray for people who’s minds are clouded with dollar signs.

Most times when people love money so much they can not and do not have love for anything else. When a person is sick in a hospital bed money is the last thing that they are thinking about. Sooner or later everyone is going to die and we can’t take the money with us.

Money can not buy everything. Many times when people talk about money so much they actually are trying to compensate for something else that they are missing. I once heard a story about a guy who loved money so much nothing else mattered not his wife or his kids. One day he asked his wife if she felt loved by him and she told him no. He replied “Why not I have bought you so many things how could you not know how much that I love you?” Money can’t buy love. He had no clue at all.

People will throw money around as a way to try to impress others then they get upset when that’s all people want from them. For me I don’t have to be rich to be happy money doesn’t control me. I thirst for the love from God almighty He will give me all my children and I need. Greed doesn’t hold a place with me. The best things in life are free yet they are priceless. It’s something to think about.

1 Timothy 6:10

For the love of money is root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

No Matter What

James 1:19

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

When we are angry we must be careful about what is said. Words can only be forgiven and not forgotten. One thing I have seen a lot of are mothers telling the fathers that a child isn’t theirs never plant a seed it will always grow especially one of doubt. And the children doesn’t deserve to be placed in the middle. Anger is one emotion that can cause a person to do some serious damage that is most times irreversible. Don’t say hurtful things no matter what.

Walk away nothing is worth unnecessary damage to any relationship. One may win an argument but lose the one that they care about. Even the most solid relationship or marriage can not withstand too much wear and tear. It’s important to one let go let God and two have self control it takes two tango. Taking the high road is a great thing. I’m not saying for a person to walk all over you still we must be selective when it comes to our words.

It a relationship and marriage it’s suppose to be a team. There is no I in team however there is in single. When we are blessed to have our king or queen the last thing that we should do is hurt them intentionally with our words.
