Can Christians Be Sexy?

Sexy- sexually attractive or exciting

I am very inquisitive I believe there’s no such thing as a dumb question. If you don’t know ask it never hurts. Question: Are Christians allowed to be sexy? Some people think that being sexy is about the clothes that one wears that is just part of it I feel that sexy is being confident and tasteful at the same time. People have different opinions on certain words. For me I feel why not be sexy just don’t go overboard. It’s fine to be sexy for your husband what’s wrong with making sure that you are the apple of his eye. Doing things like staying fit and always looking close to how you did when you two first met. Ask a person that you trust whether or not if what you are wearing is appropriate. If it makes you feel uncomfortable then chances are it isn’t.

There was a picture floating around the internet pertaining to a lady who was standing in church if what she wore was appropriate for church. Now this is not what I  mean also in this situation I believe that she may was just coming to the faith perhaps it was all that she had. It’s never good to judge, a picture may can speak a thousand words but which one of them are true? Unless it comes straight from the horse’s mouth what you think holds no value really. Perhaps the very lovely Marilyn Monroe said it best “Your clothes should be tight enough to show you’re a woman and loose enough to be a lady. Sexy is being confident and classy at the same time. Yes when we decide to become a Christian there are things that we are to no longer do that’s so true that includes our attitudes and choice of clothing too. When the holy spirit is within us he will definitely be our guide.  I think that God doesn’t mind us being proud of the temple that He gave to us. Just not too proud of course.

We’re Just Friends

Is it possible?  Can a man and a woman be just friends only? This applies to straight people. Yes we all realize how important friendship is it should be the foundation of a relationship. There’s more to a relationship than the basic things we have to be able to get along with our mate. What I am talking about is not a relationship just friendship can it happen without it developing into more.  Definitely  not speaking of being friends after a relationship that has ended it’s rare that a friendship works out.We’re not suppose to be in a relationship with everyone. Friendship if it’s true last a lot longer than some relationships and marriages. People who enter our lives have different assignments this must be kept in mind.

Can a woman and man enjoy the same things like football, same music, movies, TV shows and hobbies?  Most men and women who are friends only have had some sort of sexual contact at least once. Or wonder what it would be like to cross the line however the thing about crossing a line there is no turning back. Curiosity should not overpower ruining a great friendship how much do you value it. Friends true ones anyway are hard to find so when you’re blessed with them do what it takes to keep them. That means not placing a friendship in jeopardy regardless of the person’s  sex. I  don’t know about anyone else but I rather have a lasting friendship over most things any day.

Sisters

It is 2016 and it’s time to take accountability for our own actions. This goes out to my fellow black sisters let’s stop being competitive. We are different shades that doesn’t matter at the end of the day we check off the same box on a job application and that’s for the black race. I’d like to think of all of us as flowers unique but all very beautiful. Today is a new day black women are more educated and career driven with brand new visions that are on the horizon. Stop with the stereotypes many of us don’t watch Love and Hip Hop, Real Housewives,  Empire, Scandal etc. I  prefer flesh eating zombies Walking Dead baby! So let’s stop with the division and let’s lift one another up. If treating another person wrong makes you feel good then what’s wrong with you. Come on we have to do better.

Really not caring what people think of me when I say that we have to stop living in the past unless your intent is to make things better otherwise doing so is just useless.  What are doing in the black community?  Why are we still hung up on the complexion? What is wrong? We have sisters walking around hating the skin that they are in. Who’s responsible for this? When are we going to be responsible for our own actions?  All black women are gorgeous our lips,  our noses, our foreheads, our hair texture and our sexy curves the same things that our very mothers own as well. It’s time for us stop this nonsense seriously something has got to give.

Parenting

Eeny,meeny,miny, moe

When choosing a mother or father

For your children

The Negan route isn’t

The way to go

Trust me I know

Allow that theory

To blow out the window

Of a car that’s speeding at 180

Even though there are

Books on parenting

There are also some on driving

Yet people still get tickets

For speeding

Some things we can not help

And some we can

Sadly  there’s no way

To be a perfect parent

There are still things

That we can control if we can help it

Like who will have

The blessing of being

A parent to our children

Don’t be in a rush

Because the children

Are the one who gets hurt

When things don’t work

Children deserve both parents

In their lives full-time not partly

Parenting is something

That’s a lifetime commitment

If you think it ends

Once they become 18 forget it

As a parent that loves and cares

For your children

Worry is something

That we always do

We always see them as

The baby that was

Born at the hospital

Being I a parent

Is a blessing truly

Still the number one rule

Of parenting is the choice

Of who will be our children’s

Mother or father before

They are even born

We have to be responsible

 

 

 

Straight Love

Straight love

Is great love

A connection between

A woman and a man

Is so wonderful

Call me homophobic

All you want

Claim that my heart

Is filled with hate

That won’t stop me

From being proud to be straight

You love who you choose

And I will too

When we stand before

God Almighty I will

Have to answer for what

I have done

Not pressed or calling

Out anyone

Not trying to get anybody

To change

Like everyone else

My choice will remain

I’m attracted to men only

A man’s build is so sexy

Would like to thank God

For creating something

That is so amazing

What I admire the most

Is a man that’s comfortable

With being who he is

Especially as he ages

Once again not

Trying to shove

My preference

Down anyone’s throat

Or force they’re eyes open

However I will

Promote Straight Love

 

 

A Letter to My 21 Year Old Self

This may come off as a surprise to some but there isn’t too many things that I regret in my life. So if I were to write a letter to myself it would be about the three rules to live by. The rules would help situations that would occur to go along smoother. I really don’t think much would changed in my life by keeping these things in mind. I guess must of it is because I think about the scripture Romans 8:28 all things work together for the good this I believe strongly. We cannot have the rainbow without the rain, wind or mud it’s all apart of the process.

First of the rules that I would write is to never take the people who God placed into your life for granted. Let them know how much you love them and don’t hold back. I lost my mother on February 3, 1997; she and I were very close. Not saying that I  didn’t show her that I loved her. Let’s be honest we all make the mistake of living like our parents will be here forever and life gets busy too. However no matter what always make sure that people know and feel how much that you care lay it on thick.

The second rule would be one of my favorites nowadays which is never place time limits on things that  takes time. It’s pretty self-explanatory the reasons why I  say this. Things that requires an extensive commitment should never be rushed it’ll only get you into trouble. Things like getting married, having children and healing from a broken heart.Trust God no matter what the clocks says everything will turn out alright in the end.

Lastly don’t waste too much time trying to relive situations that have long been over, over and over again. The past robs your present which eventually ruins your future. If something  bad has happened no matter how much we think about it thinking won’t change a thing. If you are bless to get a chance to fix the problem it will not happen until it’s time to do so. Just let the past go completely go back into history if you are studying Social Studies only.This goes for good memories too like me getting my degree life keeps going the world keeps spinning and it’s not going to stop for us. We can’t stop time we just stop making new memories reminiscing about old things. Things would go alot better when we are open and honest with ourselves to begin with. Not saying that my life is perfect and that I am absolutely proud because I’m not. Guess what that’s okay all that means is that there’s more to do and I am so ready to.

Not All Advice Is Good

It’s sad to say but not all the people who come into our lives will mean us well. There are ways to filter them out they are exposed eventually just keep your eyes  open actions never lie. Here’s one thing that true always keep it in mind to happy people wants to see other people happy. So if you have a person in your ear given you advice but the results aren’t looking like what they have chances are their advice isn’t good. It’s like the three pigs taking advice from the wolf. Some things aren’t good as they appear sugar and salt look alike so always beware. Don’t allow anyone to steer you away from what you deserve.

Lessons In Love

No one knows what God

Has in store for us

So let’s be open to the possibilities

Of what love could bring

It can catch one off guard

Happen suddenly

Maybe today there’s no telling

People who are already in love

Should want others to have it

If they are truly in love anyway

They want to see others

Experience the same thing

Don’t allow anyone to tell you different

If they are then lose them

We all deserve to have happiness

So ignore and get rid of negative people

Play attention they are easy to spot

The ones that don’t celebrate your

Success or come up with excuses of

Why you should not have it

Surround yourself with people

Who wants to see you smile

Take advice from successful

Couples in love

And those who lost love to

Knowledge of both of these

Lessons in love are valuable

It’s will help one to understand

What they should and shouldn’t do

So your love life has a fair shot

Don’t be afraid to let go

When it’s the right person

You will definitely know

It will be someone

Who isn’t afraid to show

Their love for you

It will be mutual

And will make your

Relationship official

No one deserves to be hurt

So take your time

And never rush

Love is a wonderful feeling

It has powerful energy

Such a blessing

Love can send a person

In any kind of form

Love does not

Come with a manual

Love has no color

No weight amount

No height amount

No age amount

These things place limits

Expanded the bracket

Cast that net

Far and wide

No telling what you may get

Allow this kind of

Thinking to become a habit

Preferences can sometimes

Make you narrow minded

When it comes to

Love be open minded

So you can experience

The right connections

Many times our true mate

Are always someone

That we would never suspect

So keep your eyes open

And your heart too

In the meantime

I pray that your true

Love finds you
