Favorite Scriptures

Most people refer to the scriptures from Ephesians when it comes to the roles of husbands and wives another excellent one is 1 Peter 3:7-9

7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:

9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

It’s important for everyone to understand God’s word to have a great walk with Him. I’m very thankful for the Word of God.

Plenty of Fish

Growing up we had lots of sayings that our elders would say to us when it came to heartbreak like you are still young and the most famous one “there are other fish in the sea”. Let’s think about the sea do you realize how many different fish that there are? There are so many fish ranging from the letters A-Z. I look at the world of people like a ocean not every catch is right for you. It’s important not to throw back a rock fish and end up with a goldfish. The ocean has spots, tuna, flounder, sharks and there are things in it that’s not even fish like dolphins and whales. There are five groups of marine mammals and polar bears make up of it too. More and more I sit back and realize that it’s best to trust God always when it comes to everything including finding our true mate.

Everyone can talk and hear but only the right one can speak and listen to your soul. God has one special person for us not thousands. Everyone who talks the talk doesn’t walk the walk the wrong person will say and do anything to get what they want.When we find a special person we have to realize that Not everyone is replaceable thus we must be careful who we hurt and not to take them for granted. No one wants to search for a lifetime only to find that they threw the person back into the sea of people a long time ago. Remember there’s only one Nemo if you want to think of the sea. Love is so beautiful especially when it comes from the one that God has for you. We are all worthy of love. We are worth it !! Yes and we don’t need L’Oreal to tell us that ,we have God.

I Love The Word

The Word of God is absolutely powerful. I’m not a preacher or teacher I’m Tameeka. I discuss things on my blog that’s important to me still nothing is more important than my relationship with God. God gave us the Word as a guide to help us with our everyday life. There are so many scriptures that I love. Keeping my faith strong is what I work hard at every day man can’t do nothing without God. My walk with God has matured tremendously I look at bad situations with an understanding everything happens for a reason. Having the faith like Job and David is what I want I would so love that.

I don’t treat God like a spare tire using Him only during the time of hardships. I love God so much and I know that I need Him. It’s true that what we talk about the most is where our hearts lie some people think that money is so important but that’s a fool’s mentality. Putting one’s faith in themselves and material things will get them no way fast. It’s important to remain humble always. There have been so many ups and downs in my life no matter what I don’t want to lose sight of God. He’s already working on my behalf now let’s think about something when things are bad exactly how bad are they? Example the loss of a job it may seem bad a first but something better comes along eventually. One thing had to be lost in order to gain better. I guess I always look on the bright side and that comes from having God in my life. No matter what happens I know that everything will be alright. God has us in the Palm of His Hands. Tough times don’t last tough people do. I love You Christ Jesus and thank You for loving me.

Now that I have gotten my praise on here’s one of my favorite scriptures:

1 Timothy 4:4-5

 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

God is so good isn’t He!! Have a very bless day.

If it’s real

You know the deal

You know exactly

I want to take a second to mention

Before I begin expressing

My affection for my

Beautiful black sisters

I am not a person

Who promotes division

Uplifting others

Is always my intentions

To spread positive messages

My sisters and I

Marches to the beat

Of a different drum

Some say that we are

Rude or have bad attitudes

But my dude that’s

The furthest from the truth

We are radiant

We are independent

We are grounded

We are strong

Yet we are also delicate

It’s part of being feminine

We do what we can

All by ourselves

Even if we needed help

We don’t stress

We are loyal

We are true

We sacrifice daily

For our beautiful babies

We endure pain

We don’t allow it

To turn inward

We don’t allow things to change us

Even though it should have

Drove us crazy

We love hard

We don’t give up

We are beautiful

We are courageous

We are captivating

Sometimes we can be complex

Certain situations

Can make us perplexed

If we get upset

We can’t stress it

For longer than a minute

Doing that is whack

Haven’t you heard the saying

That black don’t crack

Stress has to take a seat

Like several of them

Yes we are human

But that’s the extent of it

Even though there’s

Information that’s not accurate

Floating about meant to oppress us

We don’t answer to it

We don’t claim it

We know who we are

We are compassionate

We practice unity

We are women of substance

We have powerful spirits

We nurture intensely

Our goal is to

Accomplish positivity

Hopefully it’s passed

Down from generation to generation

What a feeling of gratification

We march to the beat of a

Different drum

And we answer to no one

Except for God Almighty

In heaven we are a part

Of the rhythm nation

 

 

 

Woot Woot!!

My My My Time has flown by. September 6th will make it six months since I have started my blog. I am pretty proud of everything that I have accomplished and there will be more much more. So far I stuck by what I have planned to do I’ve shared my love for Christ, my love for my sons, poetry, music, the Dallas Cowboys, made podcasts the list just goes on. I enjoy writing and I enjoy the freedom of expressing myself. I don’t know about anyone else but when I can’t express myself freely I feel like I’m suffocating. I have always been a strong supporter of people loving others according to God’s will of course. Interracial dating to me is a beautiful thing and I truly believe that God has someone special for us all. As I have shared I have always been attracted to white men for longs as I can remember. Growing up I was taught that that one person isn’t for everyone but that there is somebody for everybody. My mother only concerns was for me to be happy. She didn’t want to see me get hurt. A person can get hurt regardless of the color of their skin. While I always say that love has no color I simply cannot deny my attraction to white men. Recently I’ve become bold about how I feel and I am not alone. There are many black women who are dating and marrying outside of their race. Time are changing and people are loving whomever they choose to. Anyway in the future I do plan on staying on course as well as discussing a lot more things. Here’s to six more months!!! Woot to the Woot! Woot Woot!!

Make It A Great Day

I once had a person tell me that I am very optimistic that was a awesome compliment. While I am very optimistic person it’s not all of my doing but God’s navigation. My relationship with Christ is everything. How we think controls the direction we go. Everyone has experienced a bad day before and it begins with one bad situation. We have all been guilty of saying I know that it’s going to be a bad day based off of a bad start. Remember the book that we read growing up called  Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, published in 1972, it was an ALA Notable Children’s Book written by Judith Viorst. Alexander keep saying I knew it was going to be a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day we can literally speak things in to our lives soooooo let’s choose to speak life. Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

I know that we all have experienced some bad things but you know what those things are over. And we definitely show never look around at what other people have or are an compare. We should always look at another people’s lives as an inspiration and that’s all. In life at times we are up and we are down but the world keeps spinning. Situations doesn’t control who we are in Christ. God has an amazing life for us all and it consists of different kinds of days. So let’s live our lives with the mindset of making everyday our best day.

Biology Class

Growing up math and science were my favorite subjects. Though the two are different math is used in science like Chemistry. I’m super excited about my upcoming class it’s Biology Nutritional science!!! I so can not wait to begin I love how God already put me in the mindset about clean eating. Eating clean keeps us healthy a huge part of staying on track is what we eat like 70% the other percentage is exercising. I love walking and working out!!! Being at a healthy isn’t just about looking good but feeling good and living longer. Let’s be honest there aren’t many people who are obese living well up into their 60s, 70s and 80s. It’s all about honesty being over 200 pounds in not good. Our culture definitely has a lot to do with the way that we eat. But God is the guide in my life and yes I want Him in control of how much that I eat. Years ago I was an emotional eater whenever I got stressed I would eat it’s not good at all. Overeating is a very slippery slope that’s hard to walk back up on but it is possible. I want to live for a very long time. It’s important for me to watch my sons get older. It’s a beautiful thing seeing families with multiple generations. So ready for more additional steps on this amazing journey!
