Bitter or Better

There have been three words that have been on my mind and they are bitter or better. There’s no one who has not encountered hardship. How do we allow it to affect us? When it comes to a horrible past it’s best to have a bad memory. Unless we are speaking of a testimony of course if we are still bitter we aren’t healed therefore we are hurt which won’t make us better. A hurting person must be careful because not meaning to could hurt someone else with their words or actions. It’s important to make our  mark when we go out into the world and that our presence makes a positive impact. As I always say I’m not a preacher or teacher. I’m Tameeka. Sometimes moving on from a situation where a person hurt us and never apologized may mean we have to face that they may never will. We should not allow any pain of negative experiences rob us of our joy. There is so much life to live so live it we owe it to ourselves.

Gossip and Christianity

Whether it’s on the phone, in person, text messaging or Facebook as Christians we know better about gossiping. It needs to stop it isn’t my opinion I have scriptures to support what I am saying. Tame Your Tongue. Proverbs 16:28 A forward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.  Proverbs 20:19 He that goeth about [as] a talebearer revealeth secrets: therefore meddle not with him that flattereth with his lips.

The Tears That We Cry

Yes we try to smile

But behind it

Lies a pain

That’s unbearable

And so very horrible

It’s when someone  special dies

It causes so much hurt inside

No matter how much

Time goes by

Still feels like the day

That the person died

We miss them so much

Wishing that they

We’re still here on Earth

There will always be

A huge hole in our hearts

A band aid nor a first aid kit

Can not fix the damage

Still with God’s help

We try to manage to

Take it day by day

As long as we remember them

Thinking of all the good

That they have done

We can carry them in our hearts

All we can do is try

To understand God’s plan

Of who He chooses

To call home to Heaven

We have to trust

This will help us

Believing and knowing

That we will see them again

May God comfort us always

During our time of sorrow

Where Is The Love?

This week has been one of much loss Chyna the wrestler, Doris Roberts and Prince.Yesterday was an extremely sad day for me. Yes it was the day that Prince passed away but it was far more deeper than that. There were a few Christians ( by the way a few is too many) criticizing Prince come on the man is gone. Just because they no longer listen to secular music doesn’t give them the right to speak on the dead. I don’t care what anybody says. How would they like it if it were their souls that others were speaking on?

The name Christian has Christ in it some Christians really have me wondering whether Christ is in them. They have the judging part down to a science however lack other things like being humble Proverbs 16:19 Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud. No one should act so super spiritual that they forget where they came from. Otherwise that’s being self centered or vain whichever word you choose. Christians are to be merciful Matthew 5:7 Blessed are the merciful: they shall obtain mercy. Everything one of us has experienced loss so let’s have some compassion for others.

I will not pretend that I know where Prince soul is because I don’t. What I do know he died alone, there are millions of people who loved him and that God is the only one who came save him. How do any one us know where he is now? Some of the characteristics of certain Christians are that of the Pharisees and not of Christ. We wonder why so many Christians are slipping away or outsiders don’t want anything to do with our faith. As far as I am concerned the true proof of your walk with Christ is the number of people who come to you wanting to be saved. How many people have approached you? One thing is for sure negative words can’t saved Prince soul he has already passed on. We are to never forget that no one is too far gone that God can’t saved them and that includes Prince as well.

Appreciate Those Who Celebrate You

Good Morning to everyone! I am a person who gets up early but isn’t a morning person until I have had my coffee. When I woke I had a text and I was like man because I was hoping that it was from someone else. I’m just being honest we are all guilty of this. God place something inside of me this morning and that was appreciate those who celebrate you. The same way someone else took the time to text or even inbox they did not have to. It’s about holding on and valuing these people they are special truly. Besides the people that we are waiting to hear from don’t value you as much because if they did we would hear from them more often. Never push away a person who care they may stay away everyone has their limit. People can be closed doors too maybe the reason that they don’t see you because they aren’t meant to. Let’s not do self inflicted harm to ourselves let go of the people that we don’t hear from obviously that chapter is done. So delete their number and unfriend too friends who are true are people that love you too and would never harm. Keep who celebrates you and remove those that don’t you don’t hear from them away so you won’t miss them.  Love yourself enough to let go of uncertainty and cling to the definitely. Remember communication is a two way street text those special people before that text you there should no ego when it comes to the people that we care about because they care about us. Have a fantastic day. Blessings!

I Am A Rider

Allow me to make this crystal clear

I ride for my team

Anyone who means

A whole lot to me

Has my absolute loyalty

Whether it’s friendships, family

Relationships or the Dallas Cowboys

By the side of those that I

Care about is where I stand

Never doubt always understand

I don’t keep tabs

Of what I do

Leave the checks and balances

To an accountant

I’m a true friend

There no need to recognize

Me constantly for what I do

For what I do comes from

My heart as well as way

Deep down inside

I speak the truth and no lies

Always loyal and I never turn

My back on anyone

Nothing can comes between us

No fight

No distance

Definitely not an outsider

Because I am a rider

I’m in it for the long haul

Through every season

Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall

Not fairweathered

Never changing call me evergreen

Every word I mean

I am loyal forever

Like a soldier

I am a rider

Believe that

Tameeka’s Opinions

Even though this is my first blog there are a few things that I have learned thus far. If everyone agrees with everything that you say than your not being real enough. My whole goal with my blog is to talk about things that people think about but are afraid to speak about. So when a topic that is rarely discussed is brought up it sometimes can cause a ruckus. Still it won’t stop me from bring it up. I’m not a negative so I’m mostly positive however assuming that life for a Christian is all peaches and cream is not being realistic. Christians have there ups and downs as well therefore people should not have their eyes fixed on us but on one who we put our trust in which is Christ. If one looks at us focus on our testimonies and how we endured. Besides that we are human just like everyone else.

I am open to other people’s opinions and suggestions too. The more that you know the more that you grow. In this last month I have gained so much knowledge from many bloggers whether it’s pertaining to writing skills, getting new followers or ways to overcome writers block this will be a very interesting journey for sure. The most important things about this journey is I get a chance to really look within me as well. This is definitely a fantastic learning experience and I’m so glad that I started this blog. There is so much more to come from Be Lifted. Stay tuned.
