What Has Happened To Hip Hop?
As I have shared I listen to everything so that includes hip hop too. Not the hip hop of today though I don’t know what the heck has happened I just find that today’s hip hop is very disappointing and disturbing as well. Gone are the days of the hip hop that I listened to KRS One, Eric B. and Rakim, 3rd Bass, LL Cool J I could go on and on. It is not just about today’s hip hop it’s the culture that is tied to it nothing but negativity especially towards black females. I screen everything that my sons listen to and it’s a shame musicians don’t want to be held accountable for nothing except for endorsements. So sad I will never forget the words that 2Pac spoke during an interview he said “Hold us accountable for what we say”

I don’t know about anyone else but I’ll take old school hip hop any day there’s nothing like it. The new hip hop is headed for self destruction and that’s fine just don’t take the kids with it.

I listen to everything but rock music has a special place in my heart. Pearl Jam is a part of the Seattle scene I’ve loved them ever since their first album Ten. The reason why they named the album ten is because at the time ten was the loudest that a stereo could go. Alive is one of my favorite songs from the album Ten. Check it out:

Woke up this morning with the music of Bizzle in my head. He is one of the few artist that I can actually listen to his entire album without skipping a song. He’s amazing! Check it out:
