A Love Like Theirs

Richonne Baby!!! I have always admired Rick and Michonne’s relationship. Was Rick married to Lori? Yes. However, Rick and Lori’s marriage was rocky before the zombie apocalypse. Rick talk to Shane about Lori always being angry with him. As soon as Lori thought that Rick was dead, she began sleeping with Rick’s best friend, Shane. Lori even got pregnant by Shane. How could she cheat on her husband so quickly? I believe that Lori and Shane were always attracted to one another. She joked with Rick about not being able to get a divorce during a zombie apocalypse. Was Rick attracted to Jessie? Yes, but she was married to someone else. Michonne was the woman that he trusted and confided in the must. Michonne changed Rick’s life for the better; in fact, their relationship was the first healthy relationship that he ever had. Rick and Michonne’s relationship consists of essential things, a natural friendship, mutual trust, and most importantly, excellent communication. Rick’s son Carl loved Michonne he told her that she was his best friend. Like it or not, Rick and Michonne were destined to be together long before they ever met. Sometimes it takes being with other people to understand what’s for you and what isn’t. Michonne knows when to give input, and she knows when to trust Rick’s choices. She’s loyal to his face and stands up for him behind his back. Yes, we know that it’s just a tv show but how sad it is to think that a relationship like theirs on exist on television?

It’s Sunday, February 10th and I am counting down to 9 p.m, that’s when the Walking Dead will may its return. I will miss seeing Rick and Michonne together; their love is like no other. Like a person who was once head over hills for a person but has since laid the torch down yet reminisce every so often. I am still hopeful that Rick and Michonne will reconnect one day.

I Wish You Love

prime

noun

1 [in singular] the state or time of most considerable vigor or success in a person’s life:

you’re in the prime of life

To think that you’re in the prime of your life would be an incredibly problematic and, most significantly, subjective conclusion to reach.

To be in a stage of great vigor or success in your life would mean, essentially, that your life circumstances couldn’t get any better – you’re on top of the world – or, at least – on top of your world. I suggest it is problematic because success (and happiness) is as transient and fluid as your opinion; the meaning of success (and happiness) to you could be the fundamental opposite of another’s perception of what success (and happiness) is.

Oh, thank heaven for confirmation. Often I get signs of confirmation, and I love it. They show that I am on the right track. After all, looking at human beings for answers doesn’t always happen because we don’t know if they are truly genuine. Not many of us have people in our lives who will give solutions that are in our best interest. Every so often, I reminisce of a past excellent relationship, and it’s all right to do so. I choose not to think of negative things all the time. Life is way too short for that. One of my favorite movies is called “Prime,” starring Uma Thurman, who is my favorite actress. Prime is about a 37-years-old divorcee named Rafi who meets a 23-year-old painter named David; they fall in love instantly. Things become complicated because Rafi is seeing a therapist due to her hurtful divorce. The therapist happens to be David’s mother, which causes some issues down the line. Prime is an irresistibly and entertaining hit.

One of my favorite parts of the movie is when David’s mother tells him that “Sometimes we love, we learn, and we move on.” Rafi served a massive purpose in David’s life; she got him to go for his dream of being a painter. Rafi wanted children being that she was getting older even though she was in love with David; he was not in a place where he could give her what she needed. My other favorite part of the movie was the end when Rafi and David had broken up, but they crossed paths again their eyes met and a flood of memories which highlighted the beautiful parts of their relationship. While the memories were occurring, the song called “ I Wish You Love” played. After watching the movie immediately, I thought of the song called “Torch.” I wrote a post recently about “Torch” it’s funny how things come back in full circle.

Yesterday AMC spoiled me by allowing fans of the Walking Dead to be able to see the midseason premiere early. Yippee! At the beginning of the show, Michonne gave a refresher of where people lives were. One of the things that Michonne spoke about was how Rick was her true love. It got me to thinking about everything Rick and Michonne had been through up until the time that they met one another. With all the people who came and went in their lives, none were truly their true love, which included Rick’s wife. To be able to look back and wish someone that you once loved well is a sign of real growth. There is no growth in having a hateful heart towards an ex; otherwise, it’s a sign that feelings are still there.

Love is essential, but it isn’t always enough in relationships and marriages. Sometimes we have fun, we love, we learn, we move on, and we wish our ex-love. If you love someone truly love them set them free if it’s meant to be it will happen. No one and nothing can stop what is meant to be.

Rick is the Walking Dead

Here’s my daily rant! Rick Grimes is the Walking Dead! I am a huge Walking Dead fan I have coffee mugs, tons of t-shirts, and a Daryl Dixon’s crossbow lamp.

I get so tired of people questioning fans’ loyalty. I love the show. I just don’t like how it’s looking so different from the show that I first felling in love with.

The opening of the Walking Dead starts with Rick. Fans have been looking at things through Rick’s eyes.

It saddens me about Andrew Lincoln’s departure. For months there have been lots of speculation pertaining to Andrew leaving. He confirmed about the departure news during the San Diego Comic Con. I understand that he is British and that he wants to be with his family. I appreciate all of the sacrifice that he has made for the fans over the years. Not many people would spend as much time away from their families as Andrew Lincoln has.

I will watch the Walking Dead to the very end because I am a true fan. However, understand this Rick is the Walking Dead anyone else who attempts to fill his boots is nothing more than a bottle episode aka filler. Having someone to fill in for Rick is like Willow and Xander attempting to fill in for Buffy, it won’t work. Let the ratings show the truth because they will.

Okay Rant Over! Thank you Andrew Lincoln for everything! We love you! We will miss you!

Stop It

So I just took a little break from my homework assignment to blog a quick post. I received a notification from an awesome lady that I follow on You-Tube about some fake news. There have been rumors circulating that black women are planning to boycott the movie Black Panther. Now hang on to your hats for the reason why it is being boycotted. It is rumored that it’s because of an actor by the name of Michael B. Jordan. I had to google his name I’m not a huge movie buff so please pardon me for my lack of knowledge of not knowing who he is. The reason why black women are so called angry is because of who he is dating. Fake News!!! No one cares about who this guy is dating it’s his choice, I could give a hill of beans. I promote interracial dating especially for black women because it’s rarely seen. And I believe that love has no color so whomever it is that’s responsible for starting this rumor is really lame.

As I have already shared I am not really into movies but I do love certain television shows such as the Walking Dead. I love Michonne and I love the actress Danai Gurira. The reason why I would pay to see Black Panther is because I would want to see her. It’s comical to me how there’s fake news about black women being triggered by who Michael B. Jordan is dating. It’s a known fact that when most black men become famous they marry out of their race. To me it’s all good as long as they don’t treat white women as a status of luxury like a mansion or a fancy car because that’s not cool either; they are human beings. We are all human beings who are worthy of true love regardless of our race. Why does it have to take some black men to have money in order to date out? Do they feel that without having a lot of money maybe non-black women wouldn’t give them a chance? Hmmm perhaps there isn’t much to them besides their money? Anyway I don’t care who people choose to date it doesn’t affect me. Every person has the right to date and marry whomever they choose. Love has no color. Most black women feel exactly how I do we don’t care who black men date so please Stop the Madness!!! Stop With the Fake News!!!

The Day Will Come

Goooooooooooood Morning to all!! I got my cup of coffee ready!! Yum Yum Yummy!! My Dallas Cowboys was on a bye this week. That really sucked for me on the bright side the Walking Dead made it’s return. There’s a lot of mixed reviews and emotions about it. I made a podcast about it. The show called the Day Will Come was a very emotional episode. I’m not just a Daryl Dixon fan but a Norman Reedus fan. He’s a brilliant actor and person. The so much more to come from the Walking Dead hang in there I know that I am!!!

Blossom

Blossom- mature or develop in a promising or healthy way

Like the flowers in the spring love can become a beautiful thing. Love doesn’t need help to start in fact I believe when it’s rushed or forced it tends to fall apart. I was watching TWD and it got me to thinking about Rick and Michonne romance. It wasn’t rushed it happened slowly over time. I know what you are thinking “Tameeka what are you talking about.” The chemistry between Rick and Michonne was happening in a subtle way from almost day one. Real love starts very much that way. When Rick and Michonne shared their first kiss I was super excited. I loved seeing interracial love happening in a huge way. Though I always stress that love has no color.

When we are in love we hope and we pray that it doesn’t go away. Love is something that we want to last forever. We all want to experience the love from the 1940’s, 1950’s or even earlier when people fought for what they wanted and won. When all they had were letters and telegrams to rely on yet with all of the technology of today. Holding on to love should be less harder. Indeed it’s the question of the heart and the will to not give up. But we have to allow God to guide us and we have it trust the process. We will know when we have it can’t be ignored .

As I have said before I am not a hopeless romantic but I do admire the beauty of true love. I mean who doesn’t? I’d love to experience real love Rick and Michonne style. You know the kind where the two people involved don’t care about what outsiders think but the people on the outside knows that it’s real. So they want to experience it for themselves. Yes love is so incredibly awesome.
