The Dirt

The other day I wrote about my top ten ballad songs. I chose Motley Crue’s song Without You as one of my favorite rock ballads.

The 80s was when glam rock bands were at their peak. Glam rock bands like Poison, Cinderella, Bon Jovi, Warrant, Motley Crue etc ruled MTV. MTV had the best videos back in the day now it’s just straight trash. My bedroom wall was plastered with all of their posters. I loved buying magazines like Hit Parader with the pull out posters. Those were the days.

Girls, Girls, Girls, Kickstart My Heart, Home Sweet Home, Smokin in the Boys Room etc. Yes!!! Ya girl loves her some Motley Crue.

I am super stoked a movie is coming out that’s about Motley Crue. My favorite member of the band is Tommy Lee so Machine Gun Kelly had better do him justice. March 22nd!!! Save the date that’s when the movie The Dirt will premiere on Netflix. I will be watching Netflix and chilling.

Peggy Jones

Here’s another interesting piece of black history Peggy Jones aka Lady Bo was the first African American female rock and roll guitarist. She played guitar in Bo Diddley’s band.

In my opinion black history is a part of American history. We are Americans point blank. Black history month is when I take the time to find out about little known facts. Little known facts that wasn’t recognized by not many people at all.

It’s so awesome being able to share another amazing moment of black history.

What’s Tameeka Listening to?

Two of the keys to successful weight loss is exercising and great music! I enjoy walking. There is so much music that gets and keeps me pumped. Music from every genre is awesome however I be wanting to rock. Here are my top 10 songs on my morning walk :

My Weight Loss Update

Wooooo Hoooo!!! I am extremely close to my weight loss goal. Keto is the way to go. I would recommend the Keto Diet to just about anyone. I’m sleeping well and I feel grrreeeeat in my Tony the Tiger’s voice. Working hard on my health every day because I don’t want to go back. I have always been a person who smiles but I smile even more now!

Tameeka’s Top Ten Metallica Songs

I love Metallica! They are one of my all time favorite bands.

I’m enjoying the idea of sharing my top ten songs by my favorite bands. Choosing my favorite Metallica songs was so hard but I did it. So here are my top ten songs:

Tameeka’s Top Ten White Stripes Songs

I am a huge Jack White fan! When a direct tv commercial came on immediately my youngest son and niece yelled it’s Jack White’s song “Over and Over and Over! One day I’m going to video my niece when she jamming to “Over and Over and Over; she plays a mean air guitar!

My youngest son and niece loved when the White Stripes were on the Simpsons. It was the episode when Bart became interested in being a drummer. Jack and Meg White looked so cool as cartoons. I think that was the most that I have ever heard Meg White talk was in that Simpson’s episode just kidding. But seriously Meg White has always been a quiet person which is cool. If more people were quiet there would be less arguments because when people are quiet they are able to listen.

I will be doing a top ten for Jack White too. The White Stripes have some remakes that I love and I’ll share my favorite ones soon. But for now it’s time for my favorite White Stripes songs.

10. Hotel Yorba- I love the video. Meg jumping on the bed was cool.

9. In the Cold, Cold, Cold Night- Meg sings!!!

8. One More Cup of Coffee- Bob Dylan remake and I like this one better.

7. Little People- I love Jack’s Voice. There’s a little boy with a spider in his hand, hello, oh oh

6. Fell in Love With A Girl- Legos are cool when they are moving.

5. Icky Thump- Meg had cool red hair and a cool eye in this video.

4. We’re Going to Be Friends- I want the book.

3. White Moon- Under the Great White Northern Lights the last scene was everything!

2. The Hardest Button to Button- The Simpsons. Hey kid watch where you’re drumming!
