I’ve experienced it. You’ve experienced it. Rejection is painful. It makes you believe you’re not valued, not wanted, and causes you to feel bad about yourself.
Isaiah 41:10 says, “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
There was a period in my life when I experienced rejection from all different angles. For a time, I wondered if God even cared, and found myself asking, “Where are you God? Do you hear my prayers?”
In the Psalms, David often wrote out of his own grief and loneliness, crying out to God to hear his pleas, feeling overwhelmed and desolate in his heart.
